EDF Energy Illuminating Science Ceilidh for families

In the dark about the science of light? Join the award-winning Science Ceilidh Band and a team of scientists for an evening of Scottish ceilidh dances with a twist on the theme of light. Written as part of International Year of Light, we’ll be explaining photons in the Dashing White Light Wave, exploring how glowsticks work in the Fluorescent Fling and  nding the hidden chemistry in your TV in the Orcadian Strip-the-Optic-Cable! No experience necessary and the whole family is welcome: steps and science will be explained, and experiments,  uorescent face-paints and glowsticks provided, just be ready to shine on that dance  oor! See the The Chain Reaction light show that’s animating the facade of Torness power station during the ceilidh.
